Anoka County recorded 4,020 births in 2024 against 42 lawyer offices, which is 95.7 births per office against a national median of 34.3. Dakota recorded 4,842 births against 132 offices, 36.7 per office. Similar volume to Anoka, 2.6 times the lawyers per birth.
Counties with births and nobody local to call
24 Minnesota counties recorded births in 2024 and report no Offices-of-Lawyers establishment, covering 2,118 births. Morrison recorded 360, Renville recorded 180 and Sibley recorded 152. County Business Patterns carries no establishment figure for those 24 Minnesota counties, rather than a published zero, so read it as none reported.
Zero establishments does not mean nobody in Morrison or the other 23 has a lawyer. It means no office sits there, so they are served from elsewhere in Minnesota. At an average of 88.3 births a county, none of them carries enough volume for a campaign or a local presence to convert one against, which makes them a referral question.
